I recently had the opportunity to photograph and share in the excitement of our friends as they wait for their little baby to arrive! We are excited for Tim & Emily and can't wait to meet their little boy!

"Root-Root-Root for the Home Team"
Last weekend we had the opportunity to go on a bus trip to a Yankees game with our church, now I'm not a huge baseball fan, but I do love going to New York City and experiencing new things! I made it to the 4th inning before I needed to walk around and two innings later I came back and got into the rest of the game, including the very exciting 9th. Here was my day!

Summer Here We Come!
What better way to start off the summer and enjoy mother's day than a trip to the zoo! We have a small zoo close to us and it was Aiden's first. We had a great time!
We want to take him to as many zoos as possible this summer, he loved it! Of course if he had his way he would be right in there playing with the animals!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!
I am so thankful to be celebrating my second mother's day thanks to God for making me a mom to this little boy!! It still seems unreal to me sometimes, and I don't take for granted the fact that God has blessed me in this way. I occasionally feel overwhelmed at the responsibility of raising a child, but there is nothing I would rather do!
Happy Mother's Day to all you amazing moms out there! Especially to my incredible mom! :)

10 on 10 Project :: May
Hello friends, here I am and starting another photo project. Haha. I have already started and stopped two different projects so far in 2012, but I am really pumped about this one and I don't think it will be too overwhelming as I thought of my other ones.
It is called the 10 on 10 project. I got the idea from a photographer named Shannon, you can visit her blog here. The idea is basically to pick one day and document it through photos. On the 10th of every month you post your 10 favorite pictures on your blog. Now you can either shoot on the hour every hour kind of thing or as I did this month just what captures your eye throughout the day. I may switch it up each month. My goal for this is to give me a purposeful photography project. You will never be sorry that you took the time to capture the everyday moments of your life!! Especially in years to come when we all look back and say, where did those days go?
Will you join me in this project?!! I would love for others who have a love for photography to join me in this and we will each link to another's page to make a blog circle! It will be a lot of fun and we can keep each other accountable to doing it! Please leave a comment if you would like to join me and I will contact you!
And without further ado here is my May 10 on 10...

Trusting...
Trust. Real, unfailing, surrendered trust. This is not easy and yet it is huge in the walk of following Jesus. I have been learning and experiencing a lot of this lately. Trying to trust God in the areas of my life. It started out in one particular area then it has begun to grow, because if I can trust God in this area, why not another and another area?! As I read my Bible or listen to people talk it has come up a lot and I am so thankful for it and I believe God is using so many avenues to teach me. Here are some verses I keep going back to.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.
It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.
Proverbs 3.5-8
How many times have we heard these verses? Many people probably have the first two memorized. Look at theses words "do not lean on your own understanding". WOW. I don't know about you but I definitely lean on my own understanding. If I can figure it out in my head and come up with a plan, my heart can have peace. And I will think & think & think until I have that plan. Now plans are not bad, but they should not be the source of my peace, and what if things do not go according to my plan...breakdown. lol. I also like "do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD", it carries the same idea.
But let me tell you this is not easy at all. Even when I think I'm almost really trusting God, it can turn into "I trust you God to fulfill my plan, by faith." Haha, still not trusting totally. It needs to be "I trust you God to fulfill whatever YOUR plan is". And the result of that is joy and peace in a real way and I am thankful for the small tastes of that I have had. It's not about me being in control and we all like that power, but letting God be in control. Let me encourage you to take this journey of trust with me. Try taking a look into your life and heart; what areas do you hold the control and refuse to let go and trust? I would say it touches every single area of my life. I'm starting to see it and I want God to touch each area; to be able to trust Him from small things like my son sleeping well to big things like trusting Him with our lives. He is our perfect and loving Father who open His arms and will walk with us through this life!

New Shark Vacuum Review
The vacuum we have been using for the past five years recently became totally useless. It was a cheapy one and we had been putting up with it as long as we could, but when the day comes that it spits out what it is supposed to be picking up---it's time to move on. So move on we did, without looking back!! Dan did a lot of research for me and found one that we love! The reason I am blogging about it is because I always find it helpful to hear from other people when we are wanting to buy something & we aren't really sure what to get. So here we go...
The Shark Pro Navigator Lift-Away Upright Vacuum
1. It is so light and the head swivels so it's easy to get in different spaces.
2. The suction is awesome! Really powerful, and you can control the suction amount if you want less.
3. You can easily turn off the brush for use on non-carpet floors.
4. It comes with a hard floor attachment and two micro-fiber washable pads. You remove the vacuum head and attach this part and it dusts the floor and sucks up the dirt/crumbs as well! You do have to carry the canister with you, which can be a little awkward, but not bad.

5. It comes with these attachments that just connect to the handle for easy cleaning. The big roller is supposed to be for pets.
6. It's really easy to empty the canister and clean the filters.
We bought it at Kohls.com, it was on sale plus we used a 30% off coupon, so the price was $100+ less than the listing price. PLUS, we got $30 Kohl's cash, you can't beat that!! Obviously if you want to spend a lot more money on a vacuum, then go for it! But we have found that this is a great one for what we wanted to spend!

About Me
- Robyn
- I am a follower of Jesus and I am committed to living life for Him. I am the wife of a wonderful man who loves me so much and the mother to the best two little boys! I love my family to pieces and miss them everyday! I love my friends (obviously) lol. They all are such a joy to me! I am a youth pastors wife and I enjoy being involved in the lives of teens and just people in general. I love photography and find so much joy in the moments I want to remember being saved in time. Last but not least I love sunshine and being warm. :) That's me in a nutshell, the important things anyways. :)
