A Word in Pictures :: In The Kitchen

This month's theme was "In The Kitchen". Usually when I am in my kitchen I am running around as quickly as a I can to make something, clean up or something of the sort. So, it was interesting to remember to take the time to take pictures.

Here are a few of my favorite kitchen items:

    The Ninja! Seriously I use it almost everyday! Go to the store and get one today- you won't regret it!

    Need some chicken shredded- no problem.

    Want to make a delicious smoothie or anything else you can think of...

    My three new Pampered Chef Items and how can you not love everything Pampered Chef!

    One reason I do LOVE the kitchen is because it is where all the delicious treats are located. ;-)

    Gavin's favorite spot in the kitchen, chilling while the rest of us eat our meals. :)

    Aiden will occasionally help me make something and although it takes me longer to make what I'm       

    making, I love it! This was his first experience with a beater and he was a fan! (No worries, there  

    was no raw egg in this dessert.)

    This month I also made a few loaves of homemade bread.

    Just last night I made a Nutella Banana Bread, seriously amazing. Buy some Nutella and make this!

    My big helper helping me put away the clean (until his hands touched them :)) silverware.

Who Is Gavin?

Hi, my name is Gavin and I am 7 weeks old today. Here are some fun facts about me:

• My mom guesses I weigh about 10-12 pounds.
• The outfit in the first picture is 6 months! I still fit great into 3 months, but also some 6.
• I don't believe in sleeping during the day and my mom is still trying to figure that out.
• My mom washes my head every single day to help get rid of that itchy, flaky stuff.
• I sleep for one one 6-7 hour stretch at night.
• My mom talks about how much I spit up, but I can't help it when it comes up. :)
• If I am wearing a cute outfit, there's a good chance I will have a diaper explosion. 
• I smile many times a day.
• My favorite times of the day is after I eat and when my mom, dad or brother talk to me.
• My parents get so excited when I talk to them!
• I know I am deeply loved by those around me.

Gavin's Nursery Tour

I am so excited to share with you Gavin's nursery! It has been a long time of trying to figure out what to do and a lot of work put into it by so many people! I am very happy with how it turned out, it feels very peaceful and tranquil in there. :)  The blanket on the chair was my first purchase and inspiration. The rest of the room came from many hours of thinking, re-thinking & then creating!!

My sister, Dawn added the back and did the quilting. Lots of love put into it!

This nursery could not of been possible without the help of so many, which makes it all the more special!

Since Winter is dragging on I decided to have a little fun with my studio set up. :)

A Day in the Life :: Picture Style

Last week I decided to take pictures throughout a day to depict a normal day for us. It was a Wednesday, so a little different in that we take Dan to work and have youth group at night! Hope you enjoy the glimpse into our life. :)
