Gavin's First Week

I would like to introduce you all to Gavin Daniel. 

Born Thursday, January 31 at 7:56 AM. 

Weighing 8 lbs. 3 oz. and 21.5 in.

We are blessed beyond measure and give all the praise entirely to God. This week our lives were changed for the better and I can't imagine life without this little boy!!!!

A Word in Pictures :: Winter

If you have been following this blog you know that on the tenth of every month myself and a group of friends have been posting ten pictures of our everyday life. We decided for the year of 2013 to change the project a little bit. We will be posting on the last day of the month and will all be photographing throughout the month with the same theme in mind. Appropriately enough this month we decided to do "Winter". Now each person of course has the choice to take the theme in anyway they like. 

For my first post I kind of took the easy way out....using the fact that I am 9 months pregnant and feeling up to doing much. :) Combined with the fact that I am definitely not a fan of winter, which makes it a little hard to be inspired. lol. So, I am simply posting pictures of Aiden's frist couple experiences in the snow. 

Since I live in the North East, Winter is inevitable. So, a couple of the things that help me through

are of course Christmas and Dan and I are big fans of our hot chocolate/cappuccino concoctions!!!

One Month To Go!

Here I am, approaching the end of my second pregnancy, can that be for real? Sometimes I feel like it has dragged on, other times I can't even believe it's happening. Today marks one month till my due date, Christmas is over and now it's time to tie up loose ends and finish getting all the baby stuff out. I also want to take it easy and spend as much time as I can with Aiden to fill up his tank. ;-)

A couple of things have stood out to me during this pregnancy, first is Aiden doesn't have much of an idea of what's coming and yet I am so very excited for these two boys to be brothers and friends. To be able to play together and have such fun times! I also have no idea what to expect in loving another child, everyone says that your heart grows to love them the same as the first. I am interested and excited to experience that because I can't quite imagine it in it's fullest. We are very excited to meet our new little one and have our family and hearts grow!

Moments

It's moments like these that stop my heart and make me so thankful for how God has blessed us. There are moments that fill me with happiness; like this connection between a father and son. I love to see how much Aiden is loving it! I look forward to many more of these moments throughout the years. 

10 on 10 :: December

This month I wasn't super excited about taking pictures for the 10 on 10, I just didn't have the motivation or inspiration. lol. I decided I had better do it on the 6th, because how much longer can I wait. So, I started out with this picture.... woohoo, I made smoothies in the morning.

Then I was thinking about what I wanted to have as a result of this project, and it's not really that I made smoothies on December 6. Instead I want to capture the everyday of us, our lives. So, since Aiden and I were home all day all of the pictures basically are of Aiden. I want to remember who HE was on December 6, the fact that he loves drinking out of straws, including mommy's cup, that he asks to wear his hat almost everyday and that he loves to look at himself and make faces. Things like that, and I ended up having a fun time and am thankful for what I captured. :) Enjoy.
